Linus users must first add their transfer methods into their Accounts before using them for a transfer. Linus supports Cards, ACH accounts, and Wire accounts.

How to connect an ACH account with Plaid

ACH is the preferred way to transfer into Linus as it's easy and secure. It's best for amounts up to $10,000.00. You may connect up to two ACH accounts at one time.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Account, and click 'Add Account'.

  2. Select 'Bank Transfer ACH' and click continue.

  3. Enter the account billing details into the input forms and click 'Add Account' (Note: this information is pre-populated with your Linus account details).

  4. Complete the Plaid Link process. Enter your bank login details, complete any necessary multi-factor authentication, and select the account you would like to connect.

Once Plaid Link completes, you're done! You'll get an email notification to let you know once your account connection has been confirmed.

My ACH bank account isn't supported in Plaid, or I'm having trouble connecting with Plaid. Is there another way I can connect it?

Yes! You can use Plaid's micro-deposit feature to connect your ACH account. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Account, and click 'Add Account'.

  2. Select 'Bank Transfer ACH' and click continue.

  3. Enter the account billing details into the input forms and click 'Add Account' (Note: this information is pre-populated with your Linus account details).

  4. Select 'Link with account numbers' when prompted during the Plaid Link process and follow the instructions to initiate the micro-deposit process.

  5. In 1-2 business days, go to your primary bank account and locate the micro-deposit transactions, noting their amounts.

  6. Return to Linus and click 'Click to Verify' on the account that needs to be verified.

  7. Enter the micro-deposit amounts and proceed to the end of the process.

Once you complete the Plaid Link micro-deposit verification process, you're done!

How to connect a Debit Card

Debit cards are great for when you want to deposit amounts up to $1,000.00, and you cannot use ACH. You may connect up to five Debit Card accounts at one time.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Account, and click 'Add Account'.

  2. Select 'Debit Card' and click continue.

  3. Enter the account billing details, along with the card number, expiration date, and card CVC/CVV, into the input forms and click 'Add Account' (Note: this information is pre-populated with your Linus account details).

That's it! You'll get an email notification to let you know once your account connection has been confirmed.

How to connect a Wire account

Wire is best for larger transfer amounts. We currently restrict wire transfers to $10,000.00 and above. You may connect up to two Wire accounts at one time.

Here's how to connect a wire account:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Account, and click 'Add Account'.

  2. Select 'Bank Transfer Wire' and click continue.

  3. Enter the account billing details, along with the routing and account numbers, into the input forms and click 'Add Account' (Note: this information is pre-populated with your Linus account details).

That's it! You'll get an email notification to let you know once your account connection has been confirmed.

Account Statuses

You'll see some account status when you add them into Linus. Here's what they mean:

Status

Explanation

🟡 Pending

Your account information has been sent to Linus's banking partner, and Linus is awaiting their response.

🟢 Confirmed

Linus has received notification from its banking partner that your account has been approved to be used for transfers.

🔴 Failed
